From 29 September to 1 October NAMPO (National Grain Producers Association), hosted the NAMPO Alpha show at their Show Grounds outside Bothaville in the Free State. The format was the same as their main NAMPO Show which takes place in April each year, just on a smaller scale.
There were all manner of exhibitors and events from livestock (including camels, miniature horses and stud cattle); guns and shooting accessories; camping equipment and motorcycles; homemade preserves to tractors and harvesting equipment. The National Rally Championship also took place over 2 days, starting and finishing at the show grounds.
The event was well attended by an array of visitors from the surrounding areas and in particular from the farming community.
Reloading Technology had a stand in the Hinterland Hall and we demonstrated the Reload Annealer to the interested reloading fraternity. There were many inquiries from people who had a good knowledge of annealing and the important part it plays in the reloading process.
Educating reloaders was an important part of the show as there are many people that are reloading with no knowledge of why or how to anneal their brass. As such, Reloading Technology will be back again next year, in the firearms and related equipment hall, to continue educating shooters on the need to anneal and how best to do the annealing.
